The MWA regularly hosts special events such as An Evening of Wine & Roses, Bon Vivant, exhibition openings and receptions, lectures, workshops and conferences. Many require registration.

Backed by the Wisconsin Art Archive, the MWA’s permanent collection is unrivalled in its breadth and depth. Beginning in the 1830s with white settlement and going up to the late 20th century, the collection features numerous rare masterpieces by the biggest names in Wisconsin art as well as gems by lesser-known artists.
